lots of people shy away from avocados when they’re trying to lose weight because of their fat content. however, what people generally mean when they talk about the fat in avocado is oleic acid, a monounsaturated fat that is thought to increase levels of high-density lipoprotein (aka the good cholesterol in your body) - this is most definitely a good thing, not a bad thing! avocados are super high in vitamin e which is essential for glowing skin and shining hair, and can also help keeps those wrinkles off your face.
for a high, yet slow release, energy breakfast, take 1/4 of an avocado and spread it on a peice of wholegrain toast. squeeze a bit of lemon juice over it (help to get that digestion running properly!) and sprinkle with a dash of cumin (also great for digestion and your metabolism). not only is this absolutely delicious, but it will help keep you energised and clocks in at only 160 or so calories. use half an avocado for an extra boost to bring the total to 240 calories.
